Change the language, currency, time zone or dark mode

Use this to show BytePhase in another language, fix the currency or time zone, or switch to dark mode.

Before you start

• Language, currency, date format and time zone are the same for everyone in your BytePhase account. Only someone who can change settings can change them. Ask your shop owner if you can’t.
• Dark mode is for your own device only, and needs the Standard plan or above.

Change the language, currency or time zone

1. Go to Settings › Business settings. Under Shared by every business, click Region & currency.

   On a phone, tap More › System › Settings, then do the same.

2. At the top right, click Edit.

3. Change what you need:

   • Currency: the currency shown on your prices and documents.
   • Date time format: how dates look, for example day first or month first.
   • Timezone: your shop’s local time. Reminders and daily reports follow it.
   • Language: the language of the app for everyone in your account.
   • Distance unit: kilometres or miles, used for employee tracking.

4. Click Save.

Done!

BytePhase now uses your new settings. When you change the language, the screen switches straight away.

Languages you can choose

English, Français (French), தமிழ் (Tamil), Русский (Russian), Italiano (Italian), Bahasa Indonesia, Lietuvių (Lithuanian) and Español (Spanish).

Country

Your Country is set when you sign up and can’t be changed. It decides things like how SMS is sent and which payment options you can use.

Switch to dark mode

1. Open your profile menu.

   • Computer: click your name at the top right.
   • Phone: tap More, then tap your profile picture at the top right.

2. Next to Theme, tap one of the three buttons: Light, Dark or System. On a computer, point at a button to see its name. System follows your phone’s or computer’s own setting.

   

   Phone

On Lite and Basic, Theme shows a padlock and “Available on Standard and above”.

Good to know

• The theme is saved on each device. If you use BytePhase on a phone and a computer, set it on both.
• The language you pick here is the language for everyone in your account. There isn’t a separate language for each person.
• Your shop name and support contact are on the Shop profile page, next to Region & currency.
