Use this to send the customer their job details, invoice or payment receipt on WhatsApp. BytePhase writes the message. WhatsApp opens with it ready, and you press send.

  • The customer needs a mobile number saved.
  • WhatsApp must be on the phone or computer you use. On a computer, you can use WhatsApp Web or the WhatsApp app.
  • Don’t see the WhatsApp button? Ask your shop owner to let you see customers’ contact details (Customers › Contact details).
  1. Save the record, for example a new job for customer Daniel Brooks.

A panel opens with Notify customer and the message types.

  2. Click WhatsApp so it’s ticked. Untick anything you don’t want to send.

    Desktop
  3. Click Send & close.

A new browser tab opens WhatsApp with the customer’s number and the message already typed.

  4. Check the message, then press send in WhatsApp.

Invoices, sales, quotations, payment receipts, AMC contracts and rental contracts have a green WhatsApp button. It works the same way: WhatsApp opens with the message ready.

  • WhatsApp doesn’t send by itself. If you close WhatsApp without pressing send, the customer gets nothing. To have messages go out on their own, see the 3 ways to send.
  • The words come from the WhatsApp notification templates, with your business’s WhatsApp signature at the end.
  • If no tab opens on a computer, your browser may be blocking pop-ups for BytePhase. Allow them and try again.
  • On a computer, a WhatsApp message preview window may offer a Chrome extension for sending PDFs. Click Skip to open WhatsApp normally.
