Job invoices
Section titled “Job invoices”You make a job invoice from the job, usually when the repair is done. It copies the job’s services and parts. Click Create invoice to save it.
- The money is owed on the job. When the customer pays, the payment goes on the job, and the invoice follows it.
- If the job changes later, for example you add a part, the invoice page shows Sync with job. Click it to bring the invoice up to date. It keeps the same number.
- Editing an invoice keeps the same number too.
- Your shop can make the invoice for you when a payment is recorded. See One number series for sales and job invoices.
A sale is a bill in one step. You pick the customer, add the items and take the money on the same screen. Stock goes down as soon as you save it. See Sell items at the counter.
A sale can’t hold repair services. If you quoted a customer for items only, you can turn that quotation into a sale. See Turn a quotation into a sale.
The same for both
Section titled “The same for both”- Each one belongs to the business that made it. It prints that business’s name, logo, tax number and bank details. See Which business’s details print.
- Title on the printout. By default, a business registered for GST or tax prints “Tax Invoice”, and one that isn’t prints “Invoice”. You can change the title in print settings. See Registered for GST or tax, or not.
- Payment status. Both show Paid, Unpaid, Partially paid and the other payment statuses. See Payment statuses explained.
- Print or share it on A4 paper or a receipt printer. See Print a job sheet, invoice or other document.
