Four lists on every job describe how it came in and how to handle it: Job type, Source, Priority and Service type. For example, a walk-in customer with a phone under warranty might be Warranty, Walk In, Regular and Carried By User.

Each list has a default, so a new job is never left blank. All your businesses share these four lists.

Job type No Warranty, Warranty, AMC, Return, Free Yes No Warranty
Source Walk In, Google, Referral, Just Dial Yes The first source in the list
Priority Regular, Urgent, Critical No Regular
Service type Carried By User, Pickup, On Site, Courier No Carried By User

The dropdowns list values in A to Z order. To change what’s picked on a new job, go to Settings › Jobs & repairs › Default job creation settings. Use Default job type, Default job source and Default priority.

How the repair is paid for or covered.

To add, rename or delete a job type, go to Settings › Jobs & repairs › Job types. You can also add one from the Job type box on the job form, if your shop owner lets you. Job type reports group your jobs by these values.

Where the customer found you. It helps you see what brings in the most work.

The list starts with Walk In, Google, Referral and Just Dial. Change it under Settings › Jobs & repairs › Sources, or add a source from the Source box on the job form.

How urgent the job is: Regular, Urgent or Critical. You can’t change this list.

How the device gets to you.

Service type What it means
Carried By User The customer brings the device in
Pickup You collect the device from the customer
On Site You repair it at the customer’s place
Courier The customer sends the device by courier

You can’t change this list. Picking Pickup doesn’t book a pickup by itself. Pickup and drop has its own screens.

On the create job form, Source, Service type and Job type are in Basic information. Priority is in More details.

Your shop owner can move any of them to the Only when needed section, or hide them, using Form setup. Each one prints on the job sheet if it’s turned on in your print settings.
