Use this when one customer brings in many devices together. For example, a dealer drops off five phones for screen repairs. You fill in the customer once, then add each device. BytePhase makes a separate job for every device.

  • Your shop must turn on Create many jobs at once first. It’s off until someone turns it on. See “Turn it on” below.
  • Don’t see Add Bulk Repair Job? Ask your shop owner to let you add and edit jobs.
  • Each device needs a Device type, a Device brand and at least one service or part.
  • Run more than one business? Pick the right one in the business switcher first. All the jobs stay with that business for good.

Only someone who can change settings can do this.

  • On a computer: go to Jobs and click the gear (Job settings) above the list. Turn on Create many jobs at once, then click Save.
  • Or: go to Settings › App & account › General settings (Basic plan and above) and turn on Create many jobs at once.
  1. Go to Jobs. Click the + button above the list, then click Add Bulk Repair Job.

The Create jobs in bulk page opens.

    Desktop
  2. Under Basic information, type the customer’s name, mobile or email in Customer name and pick them.

  3. Check Source, Service type, Job type, Priority, Assignee and Due date. These are the same for every device in the batch.

  4. Under Device information, fill in Device #1. Pick the Device type and Device brand. Add the Device model and Serial / IMEI number (the device’s ID number) if you have them.

  5. Fill in the rest of the device card if your shop uses it: Accessories, Storage location, Device color, Device password, Pre-repair conditions, Initial quotation and Service assessment.

  6. Add at least one service or part for this device. If you leave both empty, you see Add at least one part or service.

  7. Click Add device to add the next device. A new card opens. Fill it in the same way.

The counter next to the button shows how many devices you’ve added, for example 3 / 50. To take a device out, open its card and click Remove.

    Desktop
  8. At the top right, click Create.

You see “3 jobs created.” (with your own number) and “Every device is logged under its own job.”

  9. Under Notify customer, tick how to tell the customer and click Send & close. Or click Create another to start a new batch.

  • You can add up to 50 devices in one batch. If you try to add more, you see “You can add up to 50 devices at once.”
  • One message for the whole batch. The customer gets one message that says how many devices you booked in. The email lists each job number and device.
  • Printing: the batch window doesn’t print. Open each job and print its job sheet from there. See Add a new repair job.
  • Bulk jobs are repair jobs. Data recovery jobs are always added one at a time.
  • You don’t see Add Bulk Repair Job or Bulk repair job: Create many jobs at once is off. See “Turn it on” above, or I can’t find a menu item or button.
  • Create does nothing: a device card has a missing field. Open each card and look for the red message.
