Set up your new shop after you sign up

Right after you sign up, BytePhase asks one question: What do you fix? Your answer loads the right device types, brands and models, so your staff can pick them when they create a job. It takes a minute, and you can skip it.

Before you start

• You’ve just signed up. Your business name, contact details and country are already saved from the sign-up form.
• The page shows Step 3 / 3 at the top. It’s the last step.

Pick what you fix

1. On What do you fix?, click the card for your main work, for example Mobile/Smartphone Repair.

   The Select devices for window opens for that kind of repair. Everything is ticked.

2. Untick the device types you don’t repair. To find one fast, use Search devices. Click the arrow next to a device type to see its brands and models.

3. Click Save selection.

   The card turns green and shows how many types, brands and models you chose.

4. Do the same for any other kind of repair you do.

5. Click Continue.

Not sure yet? Click Skip for now. You can add your devices later.

The kinds of repair are: Computer/Laptop Repair, Mobile/Smartphone Repair, AC/HVAC Repair, Jewelry Repair, Data Recovery, Watch Repair, Camera Repair, Electronics Repair, Home Appliance Repair, Vehicle/Auto Repair, Bicycle Repair, Musical Instrument Repair, Drone Repair, Bag Repair, CCTV Repair and Shoe Repair.

Your workspace opens

BytePhase signs you in to your new workspace and opens the Dashboard. On a computer, the Welcome to BytePhase tour starts and shows you around. At the top, Continue setup shows how ready your shop is.

Your devices are loaded and you’re ready for your first job. Next, work through the setup checklist or try the quick start.

Good to know

• Was your workspace set up for you? Then the first sign-in may open a short setup wizard instead. Fill in your business details, pick your kinds of repair and devices, and click Get started.
• You can change everything later except your business type:
  • Business details: Settings › Business settings › open your business › Business.
  • Country, currency and time zone: Settings › Business settings › Region & currency.
  • Device types, brands and models: Settings › Jobs & repairs.
• Your business type stays as you chose it. Settings › Business settings › Business type shows it.
