  • To open templates, your shop owner must let you view business settings. To save changes, you also need Business Settings › Change settings.
  • Templates are shared by all your businesses. Each business adds its own signature at the end.
  1. On a computer, go to Settings › Customers & messaging, and click Notification templates.

  2. At the top, pick the message type: Email, SMS, WhatsApp or Push.

You see one card for each message, for example the message for a new job or a payment.

  3. Click the card you want to change. To find it quickly, type in Search templates….

  4. At the top right, click Edit.

  5. Change the words in Message content. For email, you can also change the Subject line.

  6. To add a detail that changes for each customer, click it in Quick variables, for example the customer’s name or the job number.

BytePhase fills in the real value when it sends the message.

  • SMS in India: each SMS uses a fixed, pre-approved template. You can read it, but there’s no Edit button. This is what lets the SMS reach your customers’ phones.
  • WhatsApp: your new wording is used straight away.
  • Changing a template doesn’t change messages that were already sent.
