Ask customers for a review

Available on Basic and above

Review requests need the Basic plan or above.

Use this after a happy customer collects their device, to ask them to rate your shop on Google or your website.

Before you start

• Add your review links once. Go to Settings › Business settings, open the business, and fill in Google Business page and/or Website under Review links in Address & contact. Each business has its own links.
• The job must be closed, for example Completed and Delivered.

Steps

1. Go to Jobs and open the closed job.

2. Click Job actions, then Request review. On a phone, tap ⋮, then Review.

   The Send review link window opens.

3. In Select review link, pick Google or Website.

4. Under Send alert, tick how to send it: Mail, SMS or WhatsApp.

5. Click Send.

Done!

The customer gets a message with your review link. Sales have a Request review action too.

Send the review link by itself

You can have BytePhase email the review link after every closed job. To set this up, your shop owner must give you Business Settings › Change settings.

1. Go to Settings › Payment & tax › Due dates for jobs, tasks & purchases.
2. Click Edit. Under Auto-send review link, type a number in Send review link after job (days).
   • 0 sends it as soon as the job is closed.
   • 3 sends it three days later.
   • Leave it empty to turn this off.
3. Save.

Desktop

The automatic review link:

• goes by email only, so the customer needs an email address
• is sent when a job moves to a closed status, like Completed or Completed and Delivered, not when it’s cancelled or returned
• is only sent if the job’s business has a Google or website review link

Good to know

• Request review is greyed out until the job is closed: “You can request a review once the job is completed”.
• Missing a review link? If your shop owner lets you change settings, click Add next to Select review link to add one.
