Section titled “Which one should I pick?”| If you… | Pick |
|---|---|
| Send a few messages a day and don’t mind pressing send | 1. Open in WhatsApp |
| Want messages to go out without anyone pressing send, today, with no setup | 2. BytePhase’s number |
| Want customers to see your shop name, reply to them from BytePhase, and run campaigns | 3. Your own number |
Many shops start with way 2 and move to way 3 when they’re ready. Your balance and your saved messages stay when you switch.
What happens when you send
Section titled “What happens when you send”You save a job or invoice
Tick WhatsApp in Notify customer and click Send & close.
BytePhase picks the approved wording
WhatsApp must have approved the words first.
It goes out on its own
From BytePhase’s number or yours. The charge comes off your balance.
The customer gets it
With the PDF and buttons, if you turned them on.
If something isn’t ready, nothing is lost. The message falls back to Open in WhatsApp, so your staff can still send it by hand:
- the wording isn’t approved by WhatsApp yet, or you changed it after approval
- your WhatsApp balance is empty (you’re asked to add balance or Continue with link)
- WhatsApp has stopped your number until you fix something in your Meta account
Why WhatsApp approves your wording first
Section titled “Why WhatsApp approves your wording first”WhatsApp doesn’t let a business send any words it likes to a customer. Each message a business starts must use wording WhatsApp checked and approved in advance. BytePhase does this for you.
- Your shop starts with wording that’s already approved, so you can send the day you connect.
- If you change a message, click Send for approval. It usually takes a few minutes.
- Until it’s approved, that message opens in WhatsApp for you to send by hand.
See WhatsApp message approval.
The 24-hour reply window
Section titled “The 24-hour reply window”This only matters on your own number, where customer replies come into BytePhase.
A customer writes to you
For the next 24 hours you can type anything back, and replies are free.
24 hours pass with no new message from them
You can’t type freely any more. You see “You cannot type to this customer right now.”
Send an approved message instead
Send it from the job or invoice it belongs to. The window opens again when the customer writes back.
What you pay for, and what’s free
Section titled “What you pay for, and what’s free”| Cost | |
|---|---|
| Open in WhatsApp | Free |
| A message BytePhase sends (ways 2 and 3) | ₹0.25 from your WhatsApp balance |
| Plus, on BytePhase’s number | WhatsApp’s own charge for that message, taken from your WhatsApp balance automatically |
| Plus, on your own number | WhatsApp’s own charge for that message, billed by Meta to the card or UPI you added in Meta |
