Use this when a role gives someone too much or too little. For example, a technician should see only their own jobs, or shouldn’t see what customers owe.

  • Only an Admin can change what other staff can do.
  • Know what the person’s role allows already. See Staff roles explained.
  1. Go to Employees and open the person. On a phone: More › Team & money › Employees.

  2. Open the Permissions tab.

You see groups such as Operations, Payment, Sales and Administration. Each shows how many rights are on, for example 12/20.

  3. Click Edit permissions.

  4. Open a group, then turn rights on or off with the switches. Each area, such as Jobs or Customers, has Enable all and Disable all.

Rights marked with a shield are sensitive, for example deleting jobs or seeing customer phone numbers. When you turn one on, a short note explains what it allows.

Can’t find a right? Type a word such as “payment” in the search box.

  5. To show only their own work, turn on a visibility switch, for example Only jobs assigned to this employee. The same exists for tasks, leads, pickups, AMC and rentals.

  6. Click Save permissions.

  1. On the Permissions tab, click Copy from employee.
  2. Pick the colleague and click Copy permissions.
  3. Check the switches, then click Save permissions.

Nothing changes until you save. Until then, Undo last puts back your last change.

You can also copy rights when you add someone new. See Add a staff member.

  • Your choices replace the role. Once you save custom rights, they apply instead of the role’s starting set.
  • Changing the role resets them. Using Change role clears the custom rights. The person goes back to the new role’s starting set.
  • Padlocked areas say “Not on your plan”. Those features need a higher plan, so there’s nothing to switch on yet.
  • There’s no role editor. You set rights per person, not per role.
  • A staff member still can’t see something: see I can’t find a menu item or button.
  • The Permissions tile in Settings is about your device (camera, location, notifications), not staff rights.
