About 3 minutesPhone only

BytePhase shares a delivery person’s location only while they are on a pickup or drop trip. It starts when they tap Start trip & share location and stops when they tap I’ve arrived. BytePhase doesn’t track staff the rest of the day.

  • The delivery person uses the BytePhase Android or iPhone app and allows Location when asked.
  • The pickup or drop is assigned to them.
  • To follow someone live, you need to be an Admin and use the Android or iPhone app.
  1. Open the app. Tap Route in the bottom bar to see My route.

  2. Tap the next stop.

  3. Tap Start trip & share location. If asked, allow location.

The map shows the route, and “Live · sharing location” appears.

  4. At the customer’s address, tap I’ve arrived. Sharing stops.

  1. In the Android or iPhone app, tap More, then under Team & money tap Employees.

Someone on a trip shows “Out for delivery”.

  2. Open the person and tap Track employee.

A map opens with their position, updated every few seconds.

Open the employee and go to the Employee travel logs tab. Each trip shows the customer, where it started and ended, the start and end time and the Distance.

  • “No delivery in progress” means the person hasn’t started a trip, or has already arrived.
  • “Location not shared — live tracking is off” means the delivery person didn’t allow location. Ask them to allow it in the phone’s settings for BytePhase.
  • While a trip is on, the phone shows a notification that location is being shared, even if the app is in the background.
  • There’s no attendance or all-day staff tracking in BytePhase.
