Works on computer and phoneIncluded in every plan

Print settings decide how your printouts look and what they show. One page covers every document, every printer and every paper size. A live preview shows the result with sample data before you save.

To open it: Settings › Documents & printing › Print settings. On a phone: More › System › Settings › Documents & printing › Print settings.

  • To open the page, your shop owner must let you see business settings (Business Settings › View).
  • To change anything, you also need Business Settings › Change settings. Without it, you can look and preview, but there’s no Save settings button.
  1. At the top, under Where it prints, pick the printer: A4 / Laser, Thermal receipt, Barcode labels or Sticker print.
  2. Pick a document from the row of documents, for example Job sheet or Job invoice. The preview shows that document.
  3. Change the options on the right (on a phone, below). On a phone, tap Preview to see the Live preview.
  4. Click Save settings. Cancel throws away your changes. Restore defaults puts the settings shown back to how they started.

If you leave with changes not saved, you see Unsaved changes.

The same layout for all documents, or one document only

Section titled “The same layout for all documents, or one document only”

For most A4 and receipt documents, a switch lets you choose:

  • Default for all documents: your changes apply to every document of this business. This is how it starts.
  • Custom for this document: changes apply only to the document you picked. Anything you don’t change stays linked to the shared setup. Revert to shared removes the document’s own changes.

The documents that can have their own layout are the job sheet, job invoice, delivery challan, quotation and sale invoice. The others always use the shared setup.

The theme is always shared. While Custom for this document is on, you see “The theme is shared by every document of this business.”

Option What it does Starts as Plan
Theme & layout The look of every A4 document: Classic (the standard bordered layout), Modern (your accent colour on every page) or Compact (fits more on every page). It never changes which details print Classic Modern and Compact need Standard and above
Accent colour The colour used by the Modern theme Blue Standard and above
Text size Makes all text on A4 documents bigger or smaller: 80%, 90%, 100% or 110% Standard (100%) Every plan
Receipt theme & layout The look of every thermal receipt: Classic, Modern (bigger text, easiest to read) or Compact (smallest text, uses less paper) Classic Modern and Compact need Standard and above
Receipt text size Makes all text on receipts bigger or smaller 100% Every plan
Receipt spacing Space between lines: Comfortable, Standard or Tight Standard Every plan
Reversed section headings Prints receipt headings as white text on a black bar. Turn it off if your printer smudges solid black On Every plan

On Lite and Basic, every document prints in Classic, even if Modern or Compact was saved earlier. See I can’t pick the Modern or Compact print theme.

Paper size sits under the theme. Each printer has its own size, and each business keeps its own.

Where it prints Sizes Starts as
A4 / Laser A4, A5, Letter A4
Thermal receipt 58mm, 80mm 80mm
Barcode labels (part label) 38×25, 50×25, 50×30, 100×50, 100×75 mm 50×30
Sticker print: job sheet sticker (technician copy) Same label sizes 100×75
Sticker print: delivery challan and AMC contract stickers Same label sizes 50×30

Set the receipt size to match your paper roll. If they don’t match, the receipt is cut off or shrunk.

The options are grouped into sections. Each section shows how many of its details are printed, for example “5 of 7 printed”. Details marked Always printed can’t be turned off.

Section What you can show or hide
Customer details Name (always printed), mobile number, alternate or landline number, email, address, Tax/GST number (marked B2B)
Device details Device type, brand, model (always printed), colour, serial or IMEI number, accessories, hardware details
Service details The services (always printed), comment, device condition checklist, initial quotation, job status, job type, service type, date, assigned staff, tags, custom fields, Dealer job ID (marked B2B)
Amounts & payment Payment status, Advance payment, Part code on receipts, Discount
Item table columns Quantity, Rate per item, Discount, Tax, HSN / SAC. Serial number, Item / service name and Amount are always printed
Service table columns A4 only. Rate, quantity, discount, sub total, HSN / SAC, tax and tax amount. Service name and total are always printed
Business details Your logo, name, address, phone, email, website, tax number and MSME number
Footer & branding QR code (opens the job details), Payment QR code, Bank details, Signature, Note, Terms and Conditions, Date and time, Blank notes boxes on job sheet. Here you can also change each document’s printed title, for example “Tax Invoice”

Each document shows only the options that apply to it. For example, the job sheet has no item table columns.

A column needs something to show. A column you pick prints only when at least one item has a value for it. For example, Discount prints only when an item has a discount, and Tax only when the items carry tax. A business that isn’t registered for GST or tax doesn’t add tax, so its documents have no tax columns. See Tax columns are missing on my invoices.

Printed titles. A new business that’s registered for tax starts with “Tax Invoice” as its invoice title. One that isn’t starts with “Invoice”. You can change any title under Footer & branding.

Labels and stickers have no theme and no “custom for this document” switch. Each one has a Label content section.

Label What you can show or hide
Part label (Barcode labels) Shop name and number, part name, barcode number, part code, price, warranty
Rental device label (Barcode labels) Shop name and number, brand and model, device number, serial number, barcode number
Job sheet sticker (Sticker print, the technician copy) Customer name and mobile, device details, device password, the services, comment, service type, assigned staff, due date, shop logo and name, QR code, and Ask for a note before printing
Delivery challan and AMC contract stickers (Sticker print) Shop name and logo

With Ask for a note before printing on, staff type a short note each time they print the job sheet sticker, for example “Handle with care”. The note prints on the label.

  • The preview uses sample data, not your real customers. It shows the business’s own logo and details.
  • The settings follow the document’s business, not the business in the switcher. If you print business A’s invoice while business B is picked, it prints with A’s settings. See Which business’s details print.
  • Writing your terms. The terms text isn’t written here. See Terms and conditions on your documents.
  • Technician copy on the A4 job sheet. A cut-off technician copy at the bottom of the A4 job sheet is a separate switch: Settings › App & account › General settings › Technician copy on job sheet. The same switch is in the settings gear on the Jobs list.
