Use this when a customer accepts your quote for items, for example ten chargers. BytePhase makes the sale from the quotation, with the same items and prices.

A quotation turns into a sale, not into a repair job. For repair work, make the job first and quote from the job. See Send a repair quote and get the customer’s yes or no.

  • The quotation must have only parts. A quotation with any service has no Convert to sale button.
  • It must be a quotation you made from Quotations, not one made from a job.
  • Ask your shop owner to let you create sales (Sales — Create & edit).
  1. Go to Quotations and click the quotation. On a phone, tap More › Sales › Quotations, then tap it.

  2. At the top, click Convert to sale. On a phone, it’s the sale icon button.

BytePhase makes the sale straight away and opens it. There’s no extra window to confirm.

  3. Check the items and total on the sale. Any bill discount on the quotation is copied to the sale too.

  4. When the customer pays, record the payment on the sale. See Record a payment.

  • Each quotation converts once. After you convert it, the Convert to sale button goes away.
  • You can convert at any stage. The button doesn’t wait for the customer’s approval, so check the quotation is Approved first.
  • The sale gets a new number from your sale series. If your shop uses one number series for sales and job invoices, it takes the next invoice number. See One number series for sales and job invoices.
