Connect the WhatsApp number your shop already uses. BytePhase then sends job and invoice messages from it on its own, customer replies come into BytePhase, and you keep using WhatsApp on your phone.

  1. Add balance

In BytePhase. ₹200 is a good start.

  2. Sign in to Meta

A Facebook window opens from BytePhase.

  3. Pick your number

Scan a QR code with the WhatsApp Business app.

  4. Add a payment method in Meta

    For WhatsApp’s own charges.

  • Use a computer. The Meta window is easier on a big screen. Keep your shop phone next to you.
  • Your number must be on the WhatsApp Business app on that phone. If it’s on normal WhatsApp, move it to the WhatsApp Business app first.
  • Have the Facebook account you use for your business. You sign in with it in the Meta window.
  • Only someone with WhatsApp › Connect & buy balance can do this. By default, that’s the Admin.
  • Shops in India only for now.
  1. Go to Settings › Integrations. On a phone, tap More › System › Integrations.

  2. On the WhatsApp card, click Connect your number.

You see “How do you want to send messages?”

  3. Under Send from your own WhatsApp number, if you see Add balance, add balance first. See WhatsApp balance. The Connect your number button turns on once you have balance.

  4. Click Connect your number.

  5. Read Keep WhatsApp on your phone and What changes, then click Continue.

A Facebook window opens. If your BytePhase address is your own web address, a page “Connect your WhatsApp number” opens first. Click Open WhatsApp setup.

The window is Meta’s own. BytePhase’s app is called Bytephase Lead/WA there. BytePhase never sees your Facebook password.

  1. Sign in with your business’s Facebook account and click to get started.

  2. Add your WhatsApp phone number. Choose your number from the list, or pick the country code and type it (1). Choose how to get the code: Text message or Phone call (2). Click Next (3), then type the code you get.

  3. Verify your account details. Check the name and picture customers will see (1). If something’s wrong, click Back. Otherwise click Next (2).

    Desktop
  4. Select the business assets to share. Under Business portfolio, pick your business (1). If you don’t have one, choose Create a business portfolio. Click Next (2).

    Desktop
  5. Enter business information. Only asked when you create a new portfolio. Fill in your shop’s Name, Email, Country and Website (1), then click Next (2). No website? Use your shop’s Facebook or Google page address.

    Desktop
  6. Import contacts and chat history. On your shop phone, open the WhatsApp Business app. Look for a message from the official Facebook Business account and follow it to scan the QR code on screen (1).

This brings across your business profile, contacts and the last 6 months of chats. WhatsApp keeps working on the phone.

    Desktop
  7. Confirm your WhatsApp Business account. Check the WhatsApp Business account name (1) and set the Time zone to your shop’s time zone (2). Click Next (3).

    Desktop
  8. Review what you’ll share. It lists what BytePhase can do: manage your WhatsApp account and its chats so it can send and receive messages for you (1). Click Confirm (2).

    Desktop
  9. Your account is connected. Click Add payment method (1) to do Part 4 now, or Finish (2) to do it later.

    Desktop

Meta checks your business against its WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and gets in touch within 24 hours if there’s a problem.

  1. The Meta window closes and BytePhase finishes on its own.

  2. If you see Which WhatsApp account?, pick the one this shop sends from and click Use this one.

  3. You see “Connected. You can send now.” Your past chats and phone contacts arrive over the next few minutes. You can leave the page.

The WhatsApp page now shows Connected (1), a Messages button for customer chats (2), and Choose to add phone contacts as customers (3).

    Desktop

WhatsApp charges for the messages BytePhase sends from your number. Meta bills these to a payment method you add in Meta, not to BytePhase. Without one, WhatsApp can stop your messages.

  1. Click Add payment method at the end of the Meta window. If you clicked Finish, open Billing & payments in your Meta business account.

  2. Select location and currency. Choose India (1) and Indian Rupee, and your time zone (2). Click Next (3).

    Desktop

You can’t change the country and currency later. Check them before you click Next.

  3. Choose how you’ll pay. Pick Debit or credit card or UPI (1). Business and tax info is optional. Click Next (2).

    Desktop
  4. For a card, fill in Name on card, Card number, MM/YY and CVV (1). Tick the box that lets Meta save your card as RBI rules require (2). Click Save (3). For UPI, follow the steps in your UPI app.

    Desktop

To change the payment method later, contact WhatsApp support from your Meta account.

  • Email us or request a callback from the contact section at the bottom of this page.
  • Our team can set it up with you on a call.
  • Or book a free training and we’ll do it together.
  • You can switch back to BytePhase’s number, or to pressing send yourself, whenever you like. Your balance and saved messages stay.
  • If WhatsApp stops accepting the connection, you see “WhatsApp has stopped accepting this connection”. Click Connect this number again. Your chats and contacts are kept.
  • If you see “WhatsApp will not send from your number yet”, fix the problem listed in your Meta account. Until then, messages open in WhatsApp for you to send by hand.
  • To stop, click Disconnect on the WhatsApp page. WhatsApp on your phone isn’t affected, and past chats stay in BytePhase.
  • “This WhatsApp number is already connected to another BytePhase workspace” means you must disconnect it there first.
