Use this to put a scan-to-pay QR code on your invoices and receipts. The customer scans it with any UPI app and the money goes straight to your bank.

  • Have your UPI id (for example name@okicici) and a picture of your QR code ready. The picture is required. Use the QR code that belongs to that UPI id.
  • Customers can scan it with any UPI app: PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM or their bank’s app. The money goes bank to bank, with no payment gateway in between.
  • BytePhase doesn’t find out when someone pays with this QR. Record the payment yourself, see Record a payment and print the receipt. For payments that BytePhase confirms and records for you, see Collect payments with PhonePe.
  • The QR code prints on the Basic plan and above. On Lite, the payment QR never prints.
  • Only someone allowed to change business settings can add a UPI id (Business Settings › Change settings).
  1. Pick the business you want in the business switcher. You can only add a UPI id to the business you’re working in.

  2. Go to Settings › Business settings and open the business. On a phone, tap More › System › Business settings, then the business.

  3. Open the Bank & UPI section.

Under UPI ids for this business you see the saved ones, or “No UPI added — customers see bank details instead”.

  4. Click Add payment QR.

The Create UPI link window opens.

  5. Fill in:

    • UPI link name: a name you’ll recognise, for example “Shop ICICI”.
    • UPI ID: your UPI id, for example name@okicici.
    • Default handle: turn it on if this is the one to print.
    • QR code image: upload the picture of your QR code. You can’t save without it.

  6. Click Save.

The UPI id appears in the list. The default one shows the badge On documents.

On a job invoice, quotation or sale, the Payment QR box shows which QR prints on that document. Click Change to pick another of your UPI ids, or Remove to print none.

  • Each business has its own UPI ids. A business never prints another business’s QR code, because the money would land in the wrong bank. If a business has no UPI id, its documents show bank details instead.
  • One default per business. The first UPI id you save becomes the default. Turning on Default handle for another one moves the default to it.
  • Manage them all. Click Manage UPI ids in the Bank & UPI section to edit or delete them.
  • The QR still doesn’t print? Check that Payment QR is ticked in Print settings for that document.
