Works on computer and phoneIncluded in every plan

Round bill totals rounds the total of a bill to the nearest whole amount. For example, 1,247.50 becomes 1,248 and 1,179.40 becomes 1,179. Currencies with cents work differently; see Good to know below.

It’s off when you start. You can turn it on for every new bill, and still switch it for one bill at a time.

  1. Go to Settings › App & account › General settings. On a phone, tap More › System › Settings first.
  2. Click Edit, turn on Round bill totals, then click Save.

From now on, new jobs, quotations, sales, job invoices and purchases start with rounding on. Bills you made before keep their totals.

When you add or edit a bill, look at the totals under the items. Turn the Round off switch on or off.

The amount that was added or taken off shows next to it, for example +0.50 or −0.40. Rounding happens after any discount, so it rounds what the customer actually pays.

When a bill is rounded, the print shows a Round off line next to the totals with the amount added (+) or taken off (−). If the total was already a whole amount, the line doesn’t appear.

  • Shared by all your businesses. The switch in General settings is the same for every business.
  • Invoices made for you. When BytePhase creates a job invoice after a payment, it uses this setting too. See One invoice number series, and invoices made for you after payment.
  • Currencies with cents. If your currency has cents, for example USD, EUR or GBP, the total is rounded to 2 decimals (the nearest cent), not to a whole amount.
