The dashboard
What the Needs attention cards, your assigned work and the Business performance figures on the dashboard mean.
dashboard, home screen, today, to do, what to do today, jobs due today, needs attention, my jobs, assigned to me, business performance, total business, net profit, money received, total due, all businesses, overviewThe dashboard is the first screen most owners see. It tells you what needs doing today, what’s assigned to you, and how the business is doing in money terms.
On a computer, click Dashboard at the top of the menu on the left. On a phone, owners have Dashboard in the bottom bar.
Needs attention
Section titled “Needs attention”Needs attention (“Things waiting for you today”) is a row of cards. Each card shows a count, and tapping it opens the matching list. For example, Jobs due opens the jobs whose delivery date is today.
A card only appears when its count isn’t zero, and only for features your plan has. The cards you can see:
| Card | What’s waiting |
|---|---|
| Jobs due | Jobs due for delivery today |
| Unanswered comments | Customer comments on jobs waiting for a reply |
| Invoices due | Job invoices due today |
| Quotations pending approval | Quotations the customer hasn’t approved yet |
| Tasks due | Tasks due today |
| Lead follow-ups | Lead follow-ups due today |
| Low stock alerts | Parts running low |
| Pickups & deliveries | Pickups and drops scheduled for today |
| Outsourced jobs | Jobs still with an outside repairer |
| Supplier payments due | Purchases due for payment today |
| Self check-in approvals | Self check-in forms waiting for your approval |
| Rentals overdue / Rental renewals | Rentals past their return date, and rentals due for renewal this week |
| AMC renewals | Service contracts expiring this week |
| WhatsApp replies waiting | Customers waiting for a WhatsApp reply, if you’ve connected a WhatsApp number |
If nothing is waiting, the whole section is hidden. The cards follow the business you’ve picked at the top of the screen.
Your assigned work
Section titled “Your assigned work”On a computer, Your assigned work lists what’s assigned to you, in tabs: Assigned jobs, Assigned tasks, Assigned leads and Assigned scheduled pickups. Tasks and leads need the Standard plan, and pickups need Basic or above. A tab only shows if you’re allowed to see that list.
On a phone, technicians have Assigned in the bottom bar instead.
Business performance
Section titled “Business performance”Owners and admins see Business performance: money figures for a period. It starts on Last 30 days, and you can pick other dates.
| Figure | What it means |
|---|---|
| Paid | Payments received for jobs, sales and service contracts (AMC) |
| Total expense | Your expenses plus your purchases |
| Total business | Payments for completed jobs and sales (not open, cancelled or rejected jobs), plus service contract value |
| Total due amount | Total business minus what’s been paid |
| Net profit | Total business minus total expense |
| Total commission | Commission earned by your staff, if you use commission |
Each figure shows how it changed compared with the period before. A figure that is zero is not shown.
Other staff who can see reports get a simpler set of counts instead. A technician sees Assigned jobs, Assigned leads, Assigned tasks and Assigned delayed jobs.
Below this you also see Recently viewed: the records you opened last.
One business or all of them
Section titled “One business or all of them”If you have more than one business, Business performance has a Business box. It starts on All businesses, which adds up every business. Pick one business to see only its figures. Leads and tasks belong to the whole account, so they show the same numbers whichever business you pick.
The Dashboard page inside Reports
Section titled “The Dashboard page inside Reports”Reports also has a page called Dashboard (under Overview). It is a fuller version for owners:
- Cards for Revenue (money received), “Active Jobs”, “Pending Tasks” and “New Leads”, then Total Revenue, Received, Due, Expenses and Net Profit.
- An Overview tab with a revenue chart and the mix of where it came from.
- A Quick stats tab and an Alerts tab. Click a card to open the matching list, already filtered.
You can pick dates, a business, and Compare to prior period, just like the Jobs report.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Don’t see the money figures? They need permission to View reports. Ask your shop owner.
- The numbers don’t match a report? The dashboard counts money received by payment date, while the Jobs and Sales reports count jobs and sales by the date they were booked.
